A “PAGGP
Associate” is defined as individual or
corporation that is interested in
participating in PAGGP activities.
Associates could be anyone from the
architectural, engineering, construction
sectors; building product companies;
non-profit organizations, or other business
interests. Academic individuals,
departments, centers, and initiatives will
be classified separately under PAGGP’s “Research
Network.”
Any
existing member of a USGBC chapter or
affiliate may choose to be a PAGGP Associate
and be admitted free of charge. Each
USGBC-related organization will separately
determine whether this includes individual
members, corporate members, and sponsors.
Individuals or companies who are interested
in becoming a PAGGP Associate, but are not
members of a USGBC-related organization will
be encouraged to become members but may
still participate in PAGGP activities.
How
will Associates be recruited?
The
USGBC-related organizations in Pennsylvania
will send a letter of invitation to their
members to be invited into this “community
of interest.”
The PAGGP
website (www.paggp.org) will have a
registration feature for interested parties
to submit their information.
Green
Building Alliance will notify all companies
currently listed as PAGGP Associates of
their status and the creation of this
policy.
What
are benefits are available to PAGGP
Associates?
A
bi-monthly newsletter and the PAGGP website
will be used to communicate to the PAGGP
Associates. Newsletter content will be
developed by GBA in collaboration with all
PAGGP partners.
Once PAGGP Associates are identified, they
will receive a letter of introduction from
GBA on behalf of the PAGGP describing PAGGP,
the Green Building Products Initiative, and
the Pennsylvania Green Building Products
Directory. GBA will also provide information
on available training opportunities and
local academic research related to green
building products .

Pennsylvania Green Building Products
Directory
Product
manufacturers are encouraged to post
information about their green building
product offerings, at no cost, in the
Pennsylvania Green Building Products
Directory, which can be accessed at
http://www.pa-greenbuildingproducts.org/building_product_directory.aspx.
Associates will be eligible to access
advanced features and additional resources,
which will require them to become a member
of one of Pennsylvania’s green building
organizations.
